It's a good question Mae. The weather in Maputo was not too hot whilst I was there. Particularly in the evening the cool sea breeze made things very pleasant for cycling. Sydney has beautiful weather for cycling although on the ultra hot days an air conditioned vehicle is well appreciated!
Welcome one-and-all to my blog. For the next year I will be working with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) based in Kampala, Uganda as a telecommunications consultant. I am working with the WFP as part of a Vodafone-WFP partnership programme called the "World of Difference".
My home (which I have bid farewell for now) is Sydney, a beautiful city on the east coast of Australia famed for its iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge (aka "The Coathanger").
I will be blogging about my time in East Africa here and I'm hoping to share snippets of life in my new surrounds working for an organisation whose mission is to reduce hunger on planet Earth.
How do find cycling in the heat, or are you already a little bit used to it from living in Sydney?
